Chuck Hawley is a lifelong sailor, having sailed over 40,000 miles on a variety of power and sail vessels ranging from ultra 24 footers to the 125 foot catamaran Playstation. He has sailed across both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, and has incorporated the lessons learned from those voyages into hundreds of videos and article on safety and seamanship.
Chuck is internationally known speaker on marine safety and served as chairman of the US Sailing Safety @ Sea Committee form 2011 to 2018.

The student has taken an in-person Offshore Safety at Sea course in the last year.
The student has taken an online Offshore Safety at Sea course in the last year.
The student had taken an International Offshore Safety at Sea course in the last five years and want to renew his/her certification.
Includes morning coffee & lunch. US Sailing members are entitled to a $5.00 discount. JPYC members are entitiled to a $10.00 discount. Advance reservations are required and space is very limited. Please provide 2nd and 3rd choices of dates. No refunds one week before seminar.

Bill Biewenga has accumulated over 400,000 sea miles including 41 transatlantic crossings, several TransPacs, numerous sailing speed records, deliveries and races as well as onboard participation in four round the world races. He has worked as skipper, navigator, weather analyst/router, watch captain, helmsman, deck hand, and project manager collecting a vast amount of knowledge and experience. He now uses his extensive background in his work as a photojournalist and weather routing consultant while continuing his participation aboard a variety of vessels in the world’s major offshore events and helping to convey some of the things he has learned along the way.
